Pop songs blaring, odd cinematography, fast editing. Or long takes, classical music, monochrome visuals. This is a list of films set in the real world, but made with a lot of style.

Any style counts, apart from conventional neorealist / social realist cinema or generic Hollywood dramatics. Generally trying to avoid genre films or films completely detached from realism. Biopics usually don't count, telling a true story doesn't mean something is "realist".
