The camera work is insane. POV shots from the killer’s perspective, the camera is observing and tracking. And can we talk about the score!!!! The use of opera & heavy metal was the most fascinating thing about this film for me. When it comes to suspense; it’s opera, when it comes to murder; it’s heavy metal. And the scene where she was being chased through the pretty Swiss mountains combined with a heavy metal score... chef’s kiss. Holy shit, the score was just so freaking cool and it worked incredibly. The kills were also very creative and cool, especially the bullet through the peephole one!
Opera was extremely fascinating to me until the murderer was revealed. After that scene, some parts in the third act felt a little off but it’s not a big deal. Overall, i loved it. I definitely love this more than Suspiria.
