    Amateur hour on all fronts. Essentially a thinly veiled fetish film that takes the narrative framing of an average porno and treats it as serious melodrama. The result is a film putting on the emperors clothes of a "serious art film": black and white photography, sections divided into chapters, serious monologuing of its themes.     I'm probably rating this too high. This features many common pitfalls of independent filmmaking; poor acting, awkward blocking, could use some tighter editing. But for me it adds to the film's overall charm. Like a handmade present, its a labor of love. The film's soundtrack can best be described as peak black dad mixtape music.
