Kind of surprised by the positive reviews for this. Eccentricity isn't necessarily charming or engaging, particularly when at times it felt extremely staged and very contrived. The decision to stick a GoPro camera on a truffle hunting dog, meanwhile, might have seemed quirky in the planning stage, but after only a few seconds the result was headache and vertigo inducing. There were often times when I was quite bored. The two stars are for the landscape, which was admittedly stunning.
It is hard to explain exactly why I took against this film - indeed, why I question whether it should ever have been made at all.
