i'm thinking that netflix should stop producing movies
really pissed off at myself for wasting over two hours on trying to decipher this tonally overwrought project. i could have been reading some foucault or petting one of my cats or staring at the walls of my apartment, any of those activities would have been more worthwhile than this strenuous nihilistic exercise. probably the worst directed thing i've seen this year, just utterly clumsy and ham-fisted, an empty display of aimless psuedo-philosophic ramblings constructing a juvenile, grueling mediation on death or masculinity or aging (or something, whatever).
