Cole Turner’s review published on Letterboxd:
I used to think this was almost a masterpiece since I was very fed up with your typical jumpscare horror film we see a lot of nowadays. I think a lot of people in the film community did since it was a huge breath of fresh air at the time. Over time and after branching out more, I don't think that anymore with there being some scenes that could've been adapted in film better as Robert Eggers has pointed out before, but it's still awesome and I still love it. This is the film that cemented my hate for those average moviegoers that can't shut up during a film and calls anything pretentious for trying different things.
