After reading other reviews I have to say, this film isn’t about being heartwarming or exploitive. It’s reality. Having had a sister with Down’s I saw these scenarios first hand. These conundrums people with Down’s and the system face are an ongoing issue that exists and are only solved in very specific cases instead of overall. My biggest disappointment with the film was the music because it diminishes the seriousness and once again throws these adults into a silly, childish…

I LOVED this! What a unique take for a zombie film! This focuses not only on the protagonist’s survival story but on his mental/emotional survival. He is totally isolated and starts getting to the point of a psychotic break from it. Anders does a brilliant acting job….so natural. I felt like I was watching an actual video of him in a real setting.

All I kept thinking was, how many people are out there distracted by this many things while driving??? I also felt claustrophobic and restless but it kept me interested.

Fantastic cinematography, score, sound, acting! Jordan Peele is phenomenal. The story is done so well. Nia DaCosta did a great job. Beautiful film about an ugly and sad history.

I love the throwback to a great horror film. But honestly I’d love to see something like this as a drama so we could get more into the real history and setting, as well as more in depth with the character in a realistic way.

I’m a person who enjoys philosophical conversation but this was so unrealistic, pretentious, and cliche I couldn’t stand it. Maybe also because the “philosophical” topics they chose were so boring. I found it way too contrived and unrealistic. It’s like Linklater was walking around Vienna all alone, fantasizing about the perfect woman and conversation and that’s how he wrote this.  My view of canned romance is obviously unpopular. That tells me I’m on the right track.

Complex masterpiece. Multiple heavy, deep existential and universal themes handled in a geniusly done metaphor. Will be rewatching.
