Cipriano’s review published on Letterboxd:
An interesting approach to the theme of death and time. Only special filmmakers could be able to pull off such an arduous tour-de-force (by special I actually mean Tarkovsky, Malick or Kubrick). Unfortunately, David Lowery isn't one of them. I guess it comes down to personal experiences but in my case, I found 'A Ghost Story' to be incredibly dull.
I sort of understood the concept but it just didn't enrapture me as thoroughly as I would expect from this type of slow-pace contemplative work. Maybe the final scenes hold the emotional weight I was waiting for but they weren't powerful enough. As for the rest of the film, I just felt nothing and thought about nothing.
