    The Coen Brothers hate you.

Well, maybe not you, but they definitely hate your taste in movies. Billed as a Romcom, The Coen Brothers manage to undermine every possible trope, dispelling the idea of true love and making you despise their two leads.

While this movie is considered by many to be "lesser Coen brothers," it has a lot in common with another film also given that label, The Hudsucker Proxy. Both movies are impossible to fully unlock without understanding…

  • Cats

I was feeling shitty this morning so I rewatched Cats.

More like I was feeling numb. Like I felt like if I watched anything that I loved, it wouldn't have the same emotional effect.

If you are someone who hasn't seen this movie because of how horrible the reviews are, I beg you to reconsider. This might be the most unique experience you can have with any film. I can't describe the feeling of disgust and wonder that this film…

Nearly 90 years later this is just as much an escape as it was then.

Made during the depression, these Busby Berkeley gave people everything they desired in a film, an uplifting plot, show tunes, and lots of legs. Lots and lots of legs.

Based on a Kipling short story, The Man Who Would Be King definitely has short story vibes, but the magnificent sets and on location shooting make it pretty glorious despite its limited scope.

I haven't ever seen Connery have this much fun in a movie. It often feels like he's kind of phoning it in, but he really gives himself to this role, and plays well opposite Michael Caine.

The concept of white people going to less developed communities to…

Have you ever heard the story of the organ-grinder’s monkey?

As a Fincher-head and a massive old Hollywood fan, it actually pains me to give it a rating this low, but I have to be honest with y’all, it just didn’t completely live up to my expectations.

My main issue with the film was ironically its screenplay. While I wouldn’t normally think it fair to compare this film to Citizen Kane, the movie references it so often that practically begs…
