I don't understand all the hate for this film. Were people offended by the religious symbols? Was it because the characters and what they represented too blatant? I found it to be an earnest attempt at using parable in cinema. If you watch it without thinking about the moral/spiritual lessons, it plays like a horror movie. I think that's kind of clever.
