Saw this again tonight. Sweet, surprising, quietly moving little gem, with solid turns from a good cast (Kendrick, Kudrow, Merchant, Robinson, Squibb, Revolori). Don’t understand the negative reviews. I think it was a wise man called Chris Hewitt who gave it four stars in Empire magazine. Listen to that man. He is a fine man and he knows the score.

First cinema visit of 2018. Was dreading it due to the largely snippy reviews. But, while it’s not as funny as the first two, and is perhaps the laziest sequel in a while, made me laugh enough to get a pass. Not, then, a steaming pile of aca-poo. And worth checking out for John Lithgow’s Australian accent, the worst thing to happen to that country since the introduction of the cane toad.

Second time round for me. Preparing for the spoiler special. Things that irked me slightly first time round irked me less. Still unsure about the Porg orgy (Porgy?), though. Enough to make George Lucas spill blue milk all down the front of his check shirt.
