Watched at home, with subtitles (the real rightful way to watch a film). Understood many things much better this time around.
I love the heavy mother-son dynamic here with Lady Jessica and Paul. That shift makes it a completely different movie. "Paul's journey is shaped by women", says director Denis Villeneuve in one of the extras about the feminine element he wanted to emphasize here. I thoroughly enjoy that.
World-building requires patience, especially if many, like myself, knew nothing of this story beforehand. Now with the second part confirmed, it'll be fascinating to see many of the visions shown here manifest.
