Sam’s review published on Letterboxd:
If you haven't fallen in love with Wall-E by the time this movie is up, you have a heart of stone.
Not since Charlie Chaplin's Little Tramp has a character said so much and been so endearing with so few words. When arguably cinema's greatest character ever is your only rival, you know you're doing something right.
Wall-E just does so much right. It is sincere and genuine with its politics but subtle enough to allow the reader to make up their own mind. Its humour and emotional tug is mostly physical (à la Chaplin), giving it this wonderfully broad appeal which in turn helps its message transcend any kind of language barrier.
