Revenge fantasy movie that The Joker wishes it was. Really trying to say something about our society but with a ending that is unexpected and truly leaves a mark on the viewer
I have read a lot of criticism on this film from the main characters motivations, to the ending, and everything in between. It’s pretty obvious to me that Cassie was trying to move on with her life, but once she saw that video she lost all hope. That was her last straw. Which led to the events all the way till the end.
Stunt casting was incredible. Adam Brody and Christopher Mintz-Plasse were amazing in their one scene each. We have a relationship with those actors from past work and think of them as nice guys but play absolute assholes. Great job by Emerald Fennell
Carey Mulligan was great in this difficult role, she gave subdued performance that fit her character really well. This film had humor that kept the film on a good pace, but I felt a little uneasy laughing as much as I did knowing the subject matter of this movie. Definitely a must watch if only just to start a conversation on tough subjects
