Cool-ass score, haunting tone, great use of one space & unique visuals near the end. Worth your time!
Donning religious attire has never looked so cool.
I cant give anything with Christina Hendrix less than 2&1/2 stars it would feel blasphemous to me.
The whole pool sequence to the end with the Texas Chainsaw vibes is beautiful, thrilling & just cool. Sadly, the first 70min is boring as hell besides expecting the dad & son to rip each other's clothes off at any minute & of course, Christian Hendrix.
With the: camera work, disturbing-as-fuck phone calls, gruesome kills & heavy subject matter surrounding our final girl, this almost gives Halloween a run for its money. All it's really lacking is an iconic soundtrack & a bit tighter 2nd act.
At times I was more horrified by the boyfriend than the killer in the attic & making us wonder if they are one in the same is all the more interesting. This is easily in my top 5 slashers now.
