Fuller claims he shot this in 10 days. 10 days! It's a studio set, of course, but even so it should be impossible to shoot these controlled compositions, stark lighting setups, fractured hallucinations, or to even get these wild performances at breakneck speed. Michael Shannon is great. The movie might be brilliant, but who wants to rewatch to find out?
