Pretty unfunny buddy cop outing. It has its moments for sure, and it’s very watchable, but apart from remembering that Martin Lawrence is in it, it doesn’t offer a whole lot more. Even at just under 90 minutes it’s still quiet tiresome when all is said and done. Worth watching if you’re looking for something quick and easy.
I usually love these type of films. You don’t need a huge budget and all you need is a half decent story, unfortunately this has neither of those. It looks bad, it’s the lamest Shark film I’ve ever seen, the characters are dreadfully annoying and even at 85 minutes or so it still managed to outstay it’s welcome by a lot. On the plus side, When it does slightly get going it’s a little tense but there’s just no real fear here, and these films live on fear. Not worth watching.
As if my star rating hasn’t given away my opinion on this film then read on for some non spoiler thoughts.
I don’t believe Disney ever needed to do a new trilogy but here we are. I did really like Rogue One & Solo, I’m guessing mainly because they couldn’t ruin a story already set in stone, but it’s their creative trilogy that we are left with so we may as well try to enjoy it.
I quite liked The…
I had very high hopes for Aquaman, and my hopes were met, not exceeded.
Some quick thoughts...
It’s a beautiful film to watch and there’s a great soundtrack to boot.
Momoa and Heard work very well together and have great chemistry. The action scenes are wonderful and plentiful.
Was it as serious as I would’ve liked? No
Is it kick ass and lots of fun? Definitely
I can’t wait to see it again.
