This whole time I thought it was gonna be the daughters twisted revenge plot on the mom. Like they made a big deal about her being a writer and him having a bad relationship with his parents, so I thought she came up with some elaborate plot to get revenge by faking her lover/abusers reincarnation... turns out that wasn’t what was happening. And I’m upset. But that being said I think thrillers/horror is such a universal genre and it should be filled with all cultures so I really enjoyed that aspect.
