Anna Kendrick was woefully miscast, if anything she should have been the stowaway. Toni Collette is always watchable, but the resolution of this film was severely lacking.
I know this film is highly acclaimed but I hated this film. So sanctimonious, preachy & anti-feminist. One one level it was an interesting and fun sci-fi film that addresses ethical/moral questions around AI consciousness, personhood and the post-human. The film definitely looked very nice in terms of the soft-focus, subdued colour-scheme, natural landscape seamlessly integrated with high tech, cool design and generally attractive people. But the narrative had some pretty glaring problems that are difficult to overlook.
