  • Mystery Train

    Mystery Train

The connection between these 3 stories is seem less and it’s really cool to piece together little parts of the story as the movie progresses especially in the last story. The first and third story are really solid and the first one especially has that signature Jarmusch film. Sadly the 2nd story is far less interesting then the first and third which does slow down the momentum but it still ends strong enough to keep it a pretty solid watch.

  • Sanjuro

Definitelyyyyy worse than Yojimbo, Yojimbo was much more shuttle and slow paced than Sanjuro which makes for the perfect contrast but Sanjuro as a character just doesn’t work as well in a flashier and more fast paced movie, although it does lead to some really fun moments, as a whole the story doesn’t feel very satisfying. The attempt to take a deeper look into Sanjuro as a person was definitely admirable and the film wasn’t bad by any means, I was somewhat interested in this story, but compared to its predecessor it just doesn’t hold up as well

  • Ponyo

The sense of wonder and imagination with low to no stakes makes this such a calming and fun watch. The drawings and animation give this world so much flare and off that alone keep it interesting and a great watch. Even though it’s a kids movie and doesn’t explore any deep topics it’s not supposed to and I think Miyazaki still made a great film that I will return to soon when I just want to watch something warm and cozy.

  • Ikiru

Mr. Watanabe on the swing in the snow is something I wish I could see the first time again. Ikiru really makes you think about how short life is, don’t waste it

  • The Blob

    The Blob

The pacing until the end was actually pretty great and overall I would say I was never bored and it stayed relatively fun, but the acting....GOD the acting.

  • A Hard Day's Night

    A Hard Day's Night

If your a Beatles fan you’ll probably like this more than I did but since I’m not the biggest fan of them I couldn’t care less about this storyline and oml the jokes were bad. Last scene was great though.

  • Tie Me Up! Tie Me Down!

Tie Me Up! Tie Me Down!

Antonio Banderas can make any lead character likeable

  • Vampyr

For 1932 this is very impressive, for 2020 though this was kind of boring, the first 25ish minutes of the movie were also very sloppy. The last half of the movie was ok though.

  • Borat Subsequent Moviefilm

    Borat Subsequent Moviefilm

Not as funny as the original, more politically impactful than the original

  • Funny Games

    Funny Games

First act great, third act great, 2nd act eh. This movie did not know how to stay interesting without Paul and Peter on screen but when they were this was perfection.

  • Carnival of Souls

    Carnival of Souls

Even if dated at some points, this is a really effective horror movie that had me genuinely scared at some points, for someone who’s not a big horror movie fan I’m impressed.

  • Cronos

I’m shocked that Guillermo Del Toro directed this. This was sooooooooo bad. Maybe this could’ve been fine if it took it’s self less seriously but idk honestly. It was filled with cliches and laughable at some points when it wasn’t supposed to be. To put it in one word it was just dumb to be honest. Not a fun watch
