Cameron McMurdie’s review published on Letterboxd:
One of the greatest superhero/ comic book movies ever made, and one of the best sequels ever. One of the few times that a movie manages to be both blockbuster entertainment and an auteur triumph.
Sam Raimi's direction and camerawork is really wonderful. There is a real comic book sensibility to the camerawork here that feels very visceral, entertaining and really fun.
Also, the story and character development of Peter Parker is really wonderful. The story of Parker briefly losing his powers really works. The development of the supporting characters is also great. The villain in the form of Doctor Octopus is also fleshed out and really entertaining.
Such a wonderful, brilliant movie.
