Pretty much the only movie I could get into with Moviepass today. Of course with this particular Arch European, there's not much to glean in terms of substance, but there's some image/sound momments that I don't think other asshole directors could quite reach in absurd intensity. For a while, Climax is compelling to watch because the casting in his movies is right-on in terms of picking non-professionals with magnetic qualities. Unfortunately, those qualities are always in service of essentially this. Two dance sequences make Climax surprisingly fun for a Noe movie until a series of criminal party fouls ensue. From there, it's just Wendy wandering through the Overlook with blood-red lighting.
