I haven’t been emotionally destroyed by a movie like this in a while. I felt like a different person walking out of the theater. Devastating and essential viewing.
If you didn’t like the new Blade Runner, it might not be for you. And those who read the book may get more out of the subtle nods to the source material laced throughout the film.

This might be the quintessential Lord/Miller production: it’s stylish, witty, and boundary-pushing in its animation (Sony is absolutely killing it lately). However, its quirkiness often gets in the way— it’s so filled to the brim with gags, the jokes are sometimes shoved ill-fittingly into more emotional scenes.
I’d give it 3 stars, but the Furby scene, David O’Reilly insert, and Eric Andre reference (plus casting!) bump it up half a star.
