    WHY ARE THERE SO MANY AIR BUBBLES THESE FISH NEVER GO NEAR THE SURFACE THEY DON’T BREATHE OUT AIR WHERE IS ALL OF THIS AIR COMING FROM?

    This movie  is trying to be Finding Nemo but with Jesus, but the best it can do is Garzey’s Wing, with comparable levels of exposition and tedium.

    This might come off like a double standard after I dragged Oasis through the coals over its crass ableist central performance, when I’m about to be far more generous toward Miracle in Cell No. 7, considering its central character has an unspecified intellectual disability, speaks with a still tongue in a nasal voice, and has a bowl haircut but I don’t know man, this movie actually worked for me. 

    Maybe it’s the deliberately cheesy Lifetime Original aesthetic, the deliberately manipulative…

    How has this Academy Award winning gem gone so largely forgotten by the masses? The gorgeous cinematography, the writing, William Hurt's performance, Hector Babenco's direction, it's masterful.
