Sometimes, an absolute mess of a film can be a gem. Chaotic elements all smashed together can work (look at Noah, for example).
Justice League isn’t a good mess. It’s tone deaf, badly written and even some of the special effects fall woefully short of the standard we’re used to in big budget films.
If you thought Man of Steel was bad and Batman Vs Superman was boring, imagine they inserted jokes throughout. Badly timed and poorly executed jokes. Ezra…
I really like the idea behind this film, but there’s something just off about how it’s all put together. At times it feels more like a sequel, where the hero has already learned about his powers and is now dealing with an escalated threat. If that was the case, I might’ve liked the film more.
There’s so little to explain Odd’s powers, his relationships and his reason for doing what he does. It also varies from looking okay to pretty cheap at an alarming rate, with some shocking CGI.
Just watch The Frighteners instead.
