A great example of what cinema wasn't meant to be. Extremely stage play style, an awful lot of intertitles, it's the worst from both worlds, like a silent play with a lot of interruptions to read what the performers say instead of just watching and hearing it.
But also if you see this as a recorded play it doesn't have any charm and the story isn't even told in an interesting way, being one of the best books ever written (in my opinion).
Anyone who is interested in an adaptation of The Odyssey watch the wonderful "Nostos: The Return".
