    Halloween Kills

This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.

Someone call Jason Voorhees, the killer dude from Halloween is infringing on his turf!

I didn't go into this with great expectations, since the 2018 version didn't hold up for me on a rewatch. But this was a travesty. Plenty of kills and great gore, but it just felt like an absolute mess, from the storytelling, to how this film doesn't really go anywhere meaningful. How they plan to set up a third movie is anyone's guess.
    In all honesty,…

    Dracula: Dead and Loving It

Hilarious, and surprisingly accurate to the book! Loved all the ridiculous stunts and the stand in for Leslie Nielson who was clearly visible in multiple scenes. The accents were also very creative. Great stuff!

Finally got around to this and it’s safe to say that it was incredible. One of those films that just hooks you in once things start going and keeps you trapped until it’s done. Combination of acting, setting, music, and camera work had me on edge constantly. Genuinely unnerving watch, even if I knew how it ended.
As a writer struggling during the pandemic and the isolation that comes with it, it was scarily relevant! But, if Jack lost it after a month or so, then I’m doing fine in 2020!!

(I secretly want to reread the book, because I think it’s better…)
