Carol is an absolutely excellent & honest representation of forbidden love. I know everyone talks about Cate Blanchett's presence in this & for good reason but to me Rooney Mara turns in a career best performance. I found myself seeing me in her character quite a bit.
Score is beautiful and so melancholic. Cinematography was great but felt it could've been cleaned up a bit at times.
This is a cozy film (maybe until the 3/4 mark) that will always engross you and pull you in very quickly.

I hate throwing the C-word around but this is pure unadulterated cinema. This is the kind of film that reminds you what separates the truly special from the rest of the pack.
The Elephant Man is a spectacle much like the man itself. You absolutely get entrenched in the late 1890s scenery. The contrast between the grimy areas of London and the affluent & fortunate is genius.

  • Cruella

Way way way better than I thought it would be. Cruella is filled with passion and its obvious the people who worked on this had a lot of love and respect for putting it together.
Maybe 25 minutes too long but there are plenty of moments throughout that make it worth its while. Fun for a family but also filled with more mature ideas. Loved the cinematography.
