    You know there's a lot of great films in the Criterion Collection, but this might be the best.

    Godzilla vs. Gigan


    A very goofy sequel where Godzilla and Anguirus talk to each other in comic book-style bubbles, and the plot hinges on aliens trying to take over the world with an amusement park. Somehow this turns out to be... really boring. Even the copious monster fights are unenthusiastic, minus the shock of seeing these rubber monsters spew blood for the first time ever. Carries the environmentalist streak from Godzilla vs. Hedorah forward, but it's not nearly as much batshit fun as that film.
