not nearly as disturbing as i was expecting but still good. the giallo inspiration was a pleasant surprise. that dramatic lighting gave a lot of intriguing atmosphere to several pivotal scenes. solid art house psych thriller.
fun fact: when i first created a watchlist for movies (in the days before letterboxd where such lists were confined to the notes app) this was one of the first movies on the list. for some reason i never ended up watching it until now. glad to finally be able to check this off.
