Eddie Blue’s review published on Letterboxd:
Suffers from the same problems as The Lost World but it's leaner and better paced. However, Johnston is half the filmmaker of Spielberg. Part of the effectiveness of the first two were Spielberg's deft mix of CG and animatronic effects. He would use CG for wide shots and animatronics for closeups of the dinosaurs. For part 3 Johnston relies on ugly CG for many closeups which makes it look more dated than the film that came out 8 years before.
There's nothing memorable or creative, it definitely feels like it's going through the motions and it fails to take the franchise in an interesting direction.
