Spider-Man 3

Spider-Man 3 ★★★★★

“I didn’t choose to be this.”
“I forgive you.”

This is the most overhated movie probably ever. There is so much heart and character in this film and the theme of forgiveness throughout is phenomenal. Everything about Spider-Man 3 is entirely it’s own thing. It’s not ashamed of what it is at all. Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man trilogy is not only the best CBM trilogy of all time, but my personal favorite trilogy ever. CBMs will never reach the peak that this trilogy did. One of the things I noticed a lot on this rewatch is how the most memorable moments aren’t the big action spectacles like in almost every CBM being made now, the most memorable moments are the character interactions. Peter lying to MJ about how he feels at the end of Spider-Man, in Spider-Man 2 theres Peter’s confession to Aunt May on the reason Uncle Ben died and of course the crowd of people in the train carrying him, and in Spider-Man 3 Peter forgiving Flint. I could go on and on about how perfect this trilogy is. If you hate this movie or this trilogy, I strongly urge you to give it another shot. There’s just something magical about these films.
