As a big fan of the original I was cautiously optimistic for this, but to be honest I found it a disappointment. Zero suspense, zero character development and Laurie turned into Sarah Connor at the age of 60. I was looking at my watch waiting for it to be over, which is the last thing I thought I would say. H20 was way better both as a suspenseful addition to the franchise and a study of the effects of ptsd. She was a borderline, but functioning alcoholic, which was a more realistic outcome for the character. Carpenter's score was one of the redeeming features.

Some great character work, but the entire enterprise is let down by a script that doesn't go anywhere. Just as the film begins coming to life, it ends.
