BDUB’s review published on Letterboxd:
I’m just going to say it, I pretty much had no idea what was going on most of the time. Anything involving Lee Pace and Josh Brolin in blueface was completely lost on me. Not to mention whatever the hell that orb thing was. But here is the beauty of Guardians of the Galaxy, despite all my confusion and apathy towards the nerdy stuff, I still had a lot of fun. This thing dares you not to like it. A movie that already has so much going against it (raccoons, trees, space, characters unfamiliar to mass audiences) flipped the script by doubling down on the strangeness and never taking itself all that seriously. It helps that Chris Pratt and his crew of weirdos each bring something unique and fun to the table all while rocking out to solid gold jams.
