Alexander Boucher’s review published on Letterboxd:
It's been an overwhelming couple of days for Peaksheads (or Twinheads? Ah well, both are bad). And the most overwhelming of all Twin Peaks media is this movie, the savage, exhausting and deeply sad odyssey of Laura Palmer. Man, I'd forgotten how sad TP was. I mean, its creepiness, scariness and weirdness (which are all on display here) get most of the talk time, but ultimately what Twin Peaks really is, at its core, is punishingly sad. Palmer is probably the most poignant character Lynch has ever come up with, and this movie is one of his most heartfelt, strangely. You can't fully experience Twin Peaks without seeing this movie.
