Ash’s review published on Letterboxd:
Favourite of the year/all-time, and it makes utter and complete sense. Has one of my favourite performances from JDW; has three favourite characters with JDW, Rob, Debicki; has my favourite score, only behind Zimmer’s score for Interstellar; has some of my favourite work from my favourite DP Hoyte Van Hoytema; has some of Nolan’s most realistically grounded yet wholly ambitious and out of the world, genius ideas that truly conflict against the actuality of time and physics; has some of my favourite lines and *instrumental* needle drops; has some of my favourite action scenes and sequences. It’s beyond masterful, beyond phenomenal, beyond magisterial, beyond intricate, beyond genius. At the top of Nolan’s filmography with Interstellar and arguably just - with Interstellar - the best works out there.
