    In my opinion easily the greatest film ever made. I believe the role of films is to educate through entertainment and although Shoah could not be described as an entertaining film due to the subject matter, the skill in which it educates the viewer about the horror of the Holocaust transcends the medium through which it delivers its message.     Stalker is a Soviet science fiction art film with dramatic philosophical and psychological themes directed by Andrei Tarkovsky and written by Boris and Arkady Strugatsky, loosely based on their 1972 novel Roadside Picnic. It depicts an expedition led by a "Stalker", a person who is able to traverse a mysterious restricted site known as the "Zone". In addition to the Stalker the expedition is made up of two his two clients, know only as the professor and the writer.
