I was hesitant coming into this because of how the director considers this a “faithful” adaption of the first two video games from the Resident Evil series. As a fan, I’ve always had a big attachment to the series due to childhood nostalgia so I was finally happy we’d be getting a more faithful adaption (no shame to the W.S. This film, as an adaption, definitely fails at…
I can’t begin to describe that absolutely INSANE twist that carries through the film into the third act. This film truly felt like a love letter to several genres, body horror and giallo being the most noticeable ones for me. The lighting, soundtrack and overall mood of the film was amazing! I’m glad I was able to catch this in theaters. This is definitely an instant favorite.
