• Ron's Gone Wrong

    Ron's Gone Wrong

    ★★★½

Not bad for a first movie from Locksmith Animation, although longer than I thought and has some similarities to the Mitchells but isn't as strong as that. But it was a charming movie with Mr. Susan Link as a robot and Alberto from Luca.

  • Encanto

    Encanto

    ★★★★

The more I think of this, this movie feels like a Chicken Little story done better but it's set in Colombia and it's a musical. Not exactly like that movie, although it's oddly convenient that Maribel and Chicken Little have green glasses. But both want to prove they're better despite their flaws but Maribel at least has people who love her unlike Chicken Little.

  • My Little Pony: A New Generation

My Little Pony: A New Generation

    ★★½

I might have liked this more than the 2017 movie since I feel I should of been a fan of the previous generation to understand it and this one introduces a new cast. I wouldn't call myself a brony after seeing this although I might check whatever comes for G5, maybe I might get into. It didn't blow me away and I'm already obsessed with other cute stuff than this but it's harmless.

  • Free Guy

    Free Guy

I never thought Ryan Reynolds could be a perfect fit for Emmett in a LEGO Movie remake in a GTA/Fortnite/Garry's Mod world

  • Space Jam: A New Legacy

    Space Jam: A New Legacy

    ★★½

As a sequel to Space Jam, this is a massive improvement. Sure it's not the best Looney Tunes thing ever, we got Looney Tunes Cartoons on HBO Max right now.
But I had a blast watching this, even the usage of WB IPs didn't bother me like others. LeBron James is easily a better actor than Michael Jordan who's actually invested in the looney Tunes-ish craziness that going on, making him 2D animated like Bugs by itself is amazing. The…

  • The Boss Baby: Family Business

    The Boss Baby: Family Business

    ★★★

Rewatched this with my Twitter chat, whoever decided to cast Amy Sedaris as the female boss baby gets full respect from me.

  • The Boss Baby: Family Business

    The Boss Baby: Family Business

    ★★★

It's definitely crazier than the first one and right now on par with the first movie, even though that took a couple viewings later for me to like it so this might apply here.

  • Luca

    Luca

    ★★★★

Even in a smaller scale film, Pixar still managed to make another hit. I haven't seen a Studio Ghibli film in a while, but it still gave me vibes of My Neighbor Tortoro. Still sucks it's not in theaters but thank god it'll still on those round pieces of plastic called DVDs and Blu-rays.

  • In the Heights

    In the Heights

    ★★★½

This felt like a genuine Broadway show movie made for theaters (even though I didn't see it in one, blame WB for the same day releases) which I didn't know if I was get into this since I'm not into musicals unless they're animated but this was a really good musical.

  • The Mitchells vs. The Machines

    The Mitchells vs. The Machines

    ★★★★½

This movie feels like the modern day equivalent of A Goofy Movie just replacing the 90s references with internet references and of course the robot uprising which I felt like a movie like that could have been made but not in the way I was expecting. This is genuinely a new favorite of mine. Sony Pictures Animation really have surprising these past couple years and I look forward to whatever comes next.

  • Arlo the Alligator Boy

    Arlo the Alligator Boy

    ★★★½

Honestly didn't know what to expect with this movie since I was waiting for The Mitchells vs. the Machines more. I wasn't too impressed with the trailer but this was a pleasant surprise. This is like Annie but with a cast of weird characters that I actually related to and the songs were catchier. Interesting that is actually the pilot to a upcoming Netflix show, might wanna catch it when it comes out.

  • Raya and the Last Dragon

    Raya and the Last Dragon

    ★★★★½

Even with the bad decisions made from the company this past couple months, Disney's animated films are still strong with Encanto coming out later this year hopefully. If Raya really is the next Disney princess, then I think she's my new favorite next to Moana.
