• Venom: Let There Be Carnage

    Venom: Let There Be Carnage

More like Venom 1.5 the sequel only exists to purely set up the after credits sequence. Granted its a cool idea, probably only suprising thing here.

90mins for a quick catch up, a bit of odd humour and throw away villains under the fake Marvel logo from Sony Pictures....That's £10 please!

  • Escape Room: Tournament of Champions

    Escape Room: Tournament of Champions

Cinema Version and New Alternate Version – 3 stars each.

Escape Room movies endure genuinely nothing but ‘fun horror’ premises. The creators have carried out a quality job at crafting a tight 90 mins experience for the viewer, packed with enough storylines, likeable or disposable characters and plenty of silly murderous thrills for us to enjoy. This what I would have imagined if the Cube franchise would be, if was remake for today and once I understood the more wink…

  • Malignant

The ultimate love letter for everything giallo/Italian horror based.

The amount of references from the over the top music cues; the camerawork is both James Wan's magic modern style and throwback to 80's shine, even the killer's image, murder sequences and twist around him is hilariously brilliant 👏

Loved everything second of this two hour ultra voilence, crazy wild "merry-go-around" experience, that's having far too much fun to give a shit.

  • Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings

Marvel's first Hong Kong movie attempt. A encouraging start…

A familiar set up origin story, ticking all the boxes from typical superhero sheet. But manages shine and break away with some worthy tributes for everything HK Cinema, more effective use of fight sequences (Thank god.) that captures, the classic vibes of Hidden Dragon and style of Jackie Chan.

An enjoyable cast of actors, which pumped up the film’s emotional drama and comedy elements for its running time. While still obtains…

  • Free Guy

    Free Guy

This was my version of Ready Player One... the story first, the message second and lots of reference last.

The film isn't perfect, lot of the comedy falls flat and some jokes just feel forced or odd takes. But once things start moving along, it becomes far more interesting. It's a sweet entertaining piece of honest fun, a decent love story and a good message about life itself.

This was a welcome surprise based around the bad marketing and trailers recently.

I would recommend this weekend :D

  • G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra

G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra

The best thing here is the mini Mummy reunion of cameos.

    Oh and Rachel Nichols.....of course.

  • Pig

Nicholas Cage + A Pig 🐖 = One of the best films for the year (thank youuuu)

A crisp beautiful number of visuals moments. An narrative that becomes clever, enagging while unexpected following the series of events unfold.

Its raw, emotional and plays with expectations.

  • Old

Congratulations, M.Night Shyamalan....for offering the worst cinmea experience of the year 👏

Never wanted to walk out of a film more this hot piece of utter garbage 🗑 i guess your winning streak is officially over.

Half a star - For a soild concept, that could better serve under a 30min episode of Black Mirror.

  • The Tomorrow War

    The Tomorrow War

The most textbook and by the numbers cliché sc-fi thriller seen in years!

Another big budget flick, dumped on steaming service.

It feels cheap, it looks cheap and trying far too hard to be both serious with the 'weight of the world" drama and this awarkard light hearted comedy. The tone is a complete mess and making things worse alongside the main story of Daddy issues the movie 😂

Just like "Without Remorse" a waste of time and concept.

  • Cruella

Another Disney classic IP thrown into the live action machine of remakes, prequels or this so called “modern” updated approach to these characters, and the results are shocking horribly.

Seems like no cartoon female villain, aren’t allowed to be evil anymore. Every singular Disney character requires a tragic background, she needs a wacky edge like Harley Quinn and it’s everybody else fault… Must be society or a person, right? doesn’t matter…she’s defying all the rules.

    Yeah, can’t wait to see…

  • 3000 Miles to Graceland

    3000 Miles to Graceland

Not even the greatest of Kurt Russell and Kevin Costner couldn't save this film from pure boredom.

    What a complete mess....

  • Unbreakable

Disney+ have gone and released a brand new 4K HDR transfer on there service! Its never looked better or sharper ever before....

Hopefully this means a 4K edition very soon but in the meantime, enjoy folks! :D
