Making an inner move by giving preference to stories told and protagonized by women.
"I love flowering gardens
I love creeping plants
I love walking in the air
But I fear swarming ants"
Sadly it didn't work for me. Couldn't feel any chemistry between the main characters nor connect with their story. For me it'll be just another lesbian film with a sad ending that didn't add anything to my experience as its viewer.
I remember when I first saw Carol, having no idea it was a love story. As the film went through I was a bit anxious if it would be "only" a friendship/platonic love story or if they'd actually get along. It was thrilling at the time, 'cause I just didn't know what to expect. It was something new for me and Carol turned out to be my first reference at cinema about love between women and I'm really glad about it. So I keep this one in the heart.
