Amir Soltani’s review published on Letterboxd:
A near perfect film. My only gripe is that Von Sternberg demands too much from the audience to believe a very improbable romance, though unlike in Morocco, the pace and implausibility of the love affair is not only justified but also commented on in the film itself. It's only McLaglen's characterization that leaves a bit to be desired. Anyway, one of the most gorgeous films ever made.
