Whilst Carey Mulligan, Bo Burnham and the films needle drops are 5-star, the reliance on how the narrative “ends” ultimately took me out of the experience, seeing as everything running up to that point was working so hard against it?! Discussing this film without spoiling it is so very very difficult. However, the pharmacy sequence is an absolute all-timer that I won’t be forgetting. I now understand why this is such a marmite film across the board, as it should be. The more daring cinema gets, the more better and interesting conversations we will be having. This is the only movie out of this awards season year I am *looking forward to* delving right into its conflicting discourse. All in all, I think it’s a great and commendable piece of work.
Plus, Clancy Brown!! and Alfred Molina!! - you just love to see it!!
