I don’t classify myself as a romantic but my favorite movies tell me otherwise.
It has this high of a rating because it genuinely has a very fearful aspect to it that many horror movies don’t even evoke in me anymore. Aside from this positive, everything about this movie can be foreseen minutes before it occurs. What they try to do with “hints” is undoubtedly not a hint but a HUGE arrow you can’t miss. However, it still didn’t take away the adrenaline of it all playing out the way it did.
This movie was shot wonderfully and had phenomenal acting in it. My only complain comes from feeling like none of the themes were pushed to perfection by the end. I didn’t feel anything all the way through like I wish I would’ve.
Also.... anyone else just think of The Impossible ?? Like Naomi Watts. Ocean. Some of the same visuals. I wonder if Watts thought the same thing. Hmm....
If you think the first one hurts.... this one kills.
This really brought me back true emotions from past experiences.
I began crying when they got in the boat. From then on, it was just waiting..... waiting. How much worse is it to know something good is coming to a close end.
I can’t believe how perfectly accurate these movies managed to capture such genuine emotions. I suppose it comes from true emotions the actors and makers of these…
