    Yap somehow tones down his extremities to not let down the loaded material he finds himself working on and what its main conflict is; the propagation of filmic images from a bygone era and the existential nightmare caused by the media cycle. Par for the course, said material has to be presented through irreverence, and the execution is far from masterful, but the fact that it holds itself together somewhat nicely is more than a surprise.
