Alejandro Pérez F.’s review published on Letterboxd:
Brilliant movie. Brilliant photography by Mr. Deakins. Well chosen decision of making the movie a long continuous shot. Well structured story with good dialogues, amazing interpretations, remarkable scoring and sound design, nailed prod design and creation of the atmosphere. The film itself it’s really a claustrophobic experience, we experience the whole trip by the hand of our main character. We have the thrills that he has, we step where he steps, we stay where he stays. In the end, Sam Mendes takes us, the viewers, to that april of 1917 in Northern France and convert us to soldiers. Never knowing if in the end, we are going to get the message delivered.
Nice job sam.
