Honestly, though—much more lovely than I as expecting. Plaintive filmmaking for the sake of simply being plaintive. Eastwood isn’t begging for a complex dissection or brain-breaking analysis, and that’s mighty refreshing. Sometimes the adventure really is that straightforward. Sometimes the revelation really is that gentle. Sometimes the ruminating really is that graceful.
