Perry Cononge’s review published on Letterboxd:
I gotta stop watching movies at the fracture pace that I have. It’s giving me anxiety.
Crazy to think the “fast zombie” phenomenon is less than two decades old. A lot of modern zombie cliches that we now take for granted come from this very movie, which is always cool. Cooler still knowing that Danny Boyle directed it. The dude is incredibly versatile to say the least.
Didn’t really care one way or the other about the fate of the characters. I liked all the actors, but there wasn’t enough there for me to really latch onto. I did get to see Cilian Murphy’s junk, so that was something.
There’s a kill at the end that really made me squeamish. Something about getting your eyes gouged out has always struck a nerve with me, gives me instant heebie-jeebies.
I really thought the jet was going to nuke everyone in the end, that would have been awesome.
