this film was carried by dylan mcdermott’s strong performance and the more interesting premise of a suspect serial killer dad. i was curious to find out how things would unfold throughout the course of this film.

unfortunately, it was held back by mediocre acting accompanied with weak line delivery. there are so many scenes that would’ve packed a bigger punch if the acting was just that much better.

however, i can say if you enjoy realistic serial killer flicks then this is one i can recommend. it’s not anything spectacular but isn't a complete waste of time

andra day’s performance as billie day is the only reason i’m giving this film 2 stars. other than that, it’s a mess that can’t seem to find its own direction.

i made the mistake of watching this film for the first time at home. this is an experience you should see on the big screen.

the cast was strictly people of color and i’m so happy to…

“someone in the crowd could be the one you need to know.”

i strongly believe this film is deserving of all the praise it gets. it captures the beauty of california like no film i’ve ever seen before.
the dance choreography is perfection. ryan gosling and emma stone’s chemistry is undeniable, even when no words are being said.
