Establishes a more dynamic character than the traditional Bond with a semi origin story. Craig is excellent and both of his first two scenes set the tone for his character throughout the series, the events of the climax also giving a clear influence through the rest of his movies to help position the character's typical motivations. Overall, an excellent return to the series bringing to a level of quality it hadn't had since Connery.
Only a few movies I remember, with as much suspense as this one. I think Zodiac is one of the most immersive movies of all time. Sometimes most movies I really like, on second viewing I can detach myself from the story and watch it on a more analytical point of view. And just take in the film craft and I’m thinking about editing and shot composition stuff like that. It’s a movie about an obsessive, directed by an obsessive.
