It's one of the most beautifully shot films of the decade, one that's and so filled with pain that I won't stop thinking about anytime soon. Establishes a more dynamic character than the traditional Bond with a semi origin story. Craig is excellent and both of his first two scenes set the tone for his character throughout the series, the events of the climax also giving a clear influence through the rest of his movies to help position the character's typical motivations. Overall, an excellent return to the series bringing to a level of quality it hadn't had since Connery.

Only a few movies I remember, with as much suspense as this one. I think Zodiac is one of the most immersive movies of all time. And just take in the film craft and I’m thinking about editing and shot composition stuff like that. It’s a movie about an obsessive, directed by an obsessive.

"The possibility that love is not enough."

Knowing what is going to happen but being helpless to stop it is perhaps the worst feeling in the world. No other film captures the bone-deep dread of watching the inevitable happen just as you knew it would all along. Some people are fated, I believe. You want to help Laura, to save her, but you can't. Lynch forces you to sit and watch her…
